We spent the week between Christmas and New Years at the Cabin with our good friends the Smith’s. It has become our annual Snowmobiling trip. The only problem was that, there was no Snow! Funny but true. We still gave it a go... We haulled the Snowmobiles and a 4 wheeler up to the cabin and the kids sledded on the driveway all week long. Brett and Jon headed up the mountain in search of snow to play in and found a little up by Mirror Lake, but the girls just hung out and watched movies. We also played lots of games ate lots of snacks, slept in, talked, played cards and took a break from city life! All good fun I must say! We rang in the New Year with banging on pots and pans and toasting with sparling cider!

Happy New Year! Out with 2011 and in with 2012!!! This past year was full of highs and lows for our family. We had some great things happen to the Holman’s. I was released as 1st Counselor in the Primary. I got certified to teach Yoga and got a couple Yoga jobs. Sage started High School and made the Drill Team. Max turned 12 and recieved the Preistood, changed sports, Made Murray Max Soccer team and went to NYC to see the Yankees play. Mason made Allstars took 1st place in little leage and went to NYC. Brett also went to New York and was Mason’s Weablos leader all year. We took great trips as a family to the cabin, the beach. Brett’s Dad was killed in an ATV accident this year and that has been such a hard thing to go through. We are still working through the loss. Hopefully 2012 is full of health and lots of love for our family. Happy New Year!!!!

Christmas 2011

No snow, warmer than average temps, and crazy busy. We spent our December shopping and preparing for Christmas as uasual, but it was hard to get into the sprit with the weather. Sage had a competition almost every Saturday in December, so that added to the chaos. I tried to scale back this year on gifts and think I spent more than ever. Had a great time with Brett and our kids enjoying some of our favorite traddition. We went to the temple to see the lights, we ate out with our friends the Nielsons and had our annual Couples Party. We had our Christmas Cookie Party with the Holman’s and all missed Dave. We had an amazing Christmas and 2011 and feel very blessed.

Sage has always been a busy girl, but this my friends is a whole new ball game. Who was the genius that picked December and January for High School Drill team Competitions. So this is what we do every Saturday for the Month of Christmas... (who really needs to shop anyway) The truth is, I had a ball! Darling girls and a great team! Sage is a hard worker with a great attitude. And a 4.0!!!! Wow I am impressed, with her schedule I don't know how she did it. We have State on Feb. 3rd! I am so happy Sage loves Drill.

Yoga Weekend

I was luck enough to go to my first Retreat the first weekend in November. I headed out of town just after my Yoga class on Thursday morning and arrived in St. George about 4:00 . The Home was amazing the food was to die for and the Yoga was everything! We Practiced about 4 to 5 times a day and after the first day my muscles were so sore I wondered how I would make it till Monday. The good news is the time for Rest and meditation was always available. I am discovering so much more to my love for Yoga than a year ago. I am loving the concentration and awareness, I am finding. (hard to explain unless you do Yoga) I am able to focus better set goals and keep them, be aware of my needs and others by being present and so much more! Oh and I am super flexible, lol that is a bonus of all the Yoga! Lisa Smiley is awesome, she was the host and we learned about chalkras and mudras and pranyama and oh we even had a day of silence! It was so interesting. My take was Wow the world and our lives sure get muddied up with chatter! We also unpluged, which is so lovely and something I will implement into our lives. Great experience and so in love with the Guy that took care of everything here while I took care of "me"

Halloween is always one of my favorite Holidays, It was warm and beautiful. Our Kids were so cute and excited, even Sage and Hannah still get into the spirit of the day, Sage dressed in Hannah's Cheer outfit and Hannah was a Drill girl. They have trick or treated for over 10 years together. Max and Mason went without daddy this year first year ever. We had a nice dinner with Grandma and Grandpa Hughes and britt and Chris and Dana. Jack was the cutest Panda ever! We love him so much!

Believe it or not max is TWELVE. My sweet boy Max. Can I tell you how much I love this boy. He is such a kind hearted and sensitive kid. Max is one of a kind he is a middle child through and through. Max is the heart and soul of our family he really is a peace keeper and helpful and respectful. He is showing signs of preteen attitudes lately, which is frightening but all part of life I guess. As long as all of our children are better teenagers than I was then we are very lucky. Max got straight A's and just got ordained a deacon on Sunday. I love that Max will still cuddle and needs a kiss goodnight every night, he is the first person up and the first to bed every day. He will do almost anything you ask him to. I love that he is so well liked and seems to get along well with kids at school. I love that he is so much like Brett and he is the spitting image of him! I love you Maxwell!

My Birthday

As always Brett made sure I had an extra special birthday. Lucky for me it fell on conference weekend. I love church in pj’s with a big breakfast. I was served breakfast in bed, and treated to homemade cinnamon rolls by my friend Margie. Then cards and gifts and a special dinner of my choice, (tuna casserole) the whole family came over for cake and ice cream. The sweetest gift was my niece made a shirt for her baby Jack that said “I LOVE TINA” super thoughtful and cute! Our children also gave me a foot rub. Every year older they get the more yucky faces they make! Kinda funny. We started this when they were little and willing... My friends also treated me to a girls lunch. Great birthday week!

We took a quik trip to Woodruff for a birthday party for Our beautiful Grandma Putnum. 92 years old, and as sharp as a tack. We had Kfc and cake and I brought her favorite Ricecrispy treats. She was very touched and seemed to really enjoy the attention and company. She wanted Sage to try on the dress that Myrna wore to prom. She also gave Max a pair of cowboy boots that belonged to Grandpa Putnum and Gave Sage a pair of her old cowboy boots. The kids love spending time with their Great Grandma. She is such a sweet little lady.

You could not ask for a more beautiful Month than this one. We have been outside almost every night, played tennis with a good friend yesterday, had a lovely couples weekend at the cabin, watched Max play soccer, Mason play Baseball and Sage dance at the halftime of the football games. We have been very busy doing fun things. It should slow down in October. I am very happy, and content, this time of year is my favorite. I love Fall!

One of my favorite places in the world is Jackson Hole Wyoming. Labor Day weekend was spent in one of my very favorite places in the world. Sage had to perform at the football game on Friday so first thing Saturday we headed to Jackson. We stayed with Brett’s Aunt and Uncle that live there. We did the Alpine slide, Shopped, went to Colter Bay, Ate an amazing sour dough pancake breakfast, and much much more. Brett and I stayed in Jackson 20 years ago for our Honeymoon. So this place is special. Coming back with our 3 kids was great. They loved it all. We even ate at Colter bay, were we ate on our Honeymoon. September is Gorgeous in Jackson. I love my husband and I love our kids, I feel so lucky to have had 20 years with this great guy. We had our anniversary in June, but with Dave dyeing this was the first chance to celebrate. Life has no garentees and you never know how much time you have, I hope I always live with that in mind and make the most of each day with my family!

Back to school 2011

I am going to miss these little farts. Okay lets be honest, so glad that it is time for school to start. They were all so excited that they were ready to walk out the door by 7:00. The summer was such a blur I can Honestly say we have never been busier. I think as your kids get older they get so busy That it just becomes one endless list of things to do and schedules to keep up on. Gone are the lazy summers with nothing to do, gone are the days of going to the pool to entertain ourselves or keep ourselves busy. We are in the run around, get up early Activity after activity, Scouts, Dance, Soccer, Baseball, Student Government, Lessons, Practices, Games, performances, meetings, and NO down time. I am tiring to breath and not get overly dramatic but really, It is crazy. Sage is super excited to be in High School and is on the Drill Team, She is excited about the friends she will make and all the new and exciting things that come with High School. (driving, dating, Dances ETC.) I know that this girl will be awesome, I have all the confidence that she is a girl who knows who she is and what she stands for, I am proud of who she is and cant wait to see what she will become. Max is the Big dog this year, 6th grade o my. He is a good boy and always treats everyone with respect. He is very excited about recess, he is a sports guy, this kid can run and play all day. He is never idle, he probably watches 5 min of t.v a week. He is up at the crack of dawn and in bed by 9;00 at night. He is an A student and wants to learn, its all him. He works hard and takes it on, he however is my only child who hates to read, I have to hound him about reading. Mason is in 5th grade and is not as excited about school, he is also a good student but complains and is not thrilled about school starting up again, he is another very active child, no video games and t.v for him either. He is all about sports, all summer they would go to the school and run the mile, he has practiced baseball every day this summer and loves it eats it drinks it and practices constantly. He has amazed me with his willingness to sacrifice his time to improve his skills. He runs faster, hits line drives and can catch game winning pop flies. I hope he is ready to put that same effort into his school work and become that dedicated to school. Brett and I are having so much fun raising our children and finding little pieces of the day that we can focus on us too. I insist on me and him time...

The end of summer is always bitter sweet, happy to get back to a routine but sad to see another summer fly by. We have spent this summer so busy and on the go all boredom and laziness that we usually experience never happened. Max had a Soccer tournament in Park city, so we stayed at the cabin for a 4 day weekend. The tournament was great, Max played his little heart out and most of our games were in Oakley, Bonus for us! We spent the weekend with all our soccer friends, some stayed with us and others stayed at the canyons. Sage performed at the first football game of the year with the Drill Team. And Brett and I are just tiring to keep up with these busy kids. I was released from the Primary after 5 years in the Presidency and & 7 1/2 years total. Whew, I loved it and am excited to move on.

Summer time...

Our trip to San Clemente is one of our favorite things in the summer. This year it was even better. The over scheduled crazy busy Spring and Summer we have had, we needed a week on the beach. The Holman's are the best, we had such a great time with all brett's cousins and Aunt and Uncle. I love the weather, the food, sand, ocean, the train. I love the PIER. Taking a walk on the Pier every night with Brett and our children and bumping into Holman's left and right. Ice cream on the Pier, earily morning walks on the beach, eating at the Fisherman, Olemendies, FHE with 50 cousins. Making memories with our kids. Memories that we will have forever! We missed Dave and paid a tribute to him with a balloon memorial on the pier. It was beautiful. So nice to be with Brett for 10 days. I wish I could live on vacation. I fall more in love with this guy every year, he is the easiest person to be around. I love my Family.

May June and July

Oh My Gosh, Wow were do I begin. Life, has been a busy crazy whirlwind for the past three months and with two weeks until school start it has no chance of slowing down. After Sages Birthday, our lives have been consumed with B-Ball and Dance and Many other unexpected happenings. I will try to catch up on blogging if that is possible. Max and Mason had a great season on the Murray Liberty League. They were both on the Dodgers. Mason was on Minor Dodgers and Max was on the Major Dodgers and with 4 games and 4 practices a week it made for a very busy Spring. Max play outfield this year, and got to play catcher a couple times, Mason played 1st base and pitched a few times. Such a fun time watching our boys play ball. Pure joy, is the only way to explain it really. Sage had a great competition season as well, we soaked every minuet up this year realizing it was our last year in private dance. She also made the Murray High School Drill Team! Way to go SAGE! A whole new chapter of dance. I am amazed at her talent and her dedication. Loved every second of seeing her perform. She has really come into her own this year. Memorial weekend was very sad for our family and life changing. Brett's dad was killed in an Atv accident in Moab. We are still all in shock and don't know how to react to ball games, birthday parties, beach vacations with out him. Brett really got many of his best qualities from his dad, our children miss their Grandpa. The Funeral was very sad, and all 3 of our kids spoke and Brett spoke. They did such a beautiful job. That same week Sage Graduated from Junior High, with Honors and a 4.0. Very emotional week for our family.

June was crazy busy as well, the day after the funeral Brett, Max and Mason went to New York City with my Dad. They had been planning this dream trip for almost a year. They really had a trip of a life time! Wow what an experience. They stayed in Time Square and went to 2 Yankees Games visited the Statue of Liberty and Central Park and the list goes on. They had the best time with my Dad and it was a trip NONE of them will ever ever forget. We had MORE B-Ball in June because Mason made the Allstar Team! It was a great experience for Mason. Murray 9 year old All stars took 4th in State! OMY! Practice everyday and tons of games. He really gained so much ability it is remarkable all the improvement he made. Great times! Sage Also started practicing with her Drill Team 4 days a week! And Loves it!

July, We went to the cabin the 1-4th of July for the Holiday and took in the Oakley Rodeo, rode 4 wheelers played card ATE, and rested and relaxed. Mason had an Allstar game all the way in Toelle on Saturday so Brett trucked him all the way there and back. We came home just in time to leave for Pioneer Trek on the 7th. TRek was Awesome! I can not believe how awesome. I need to do a whole post on Trek. Lets just put it this way, one of the best experiences of my life! Nuff said! I love my Husband! and I love him even more now. If that is possible. After trek we had State championship B-Ball and then my nieces Wedding and the day after the wedding we left for San Clemente... Ahhh I'm exhausted just typing it all. Living it makes me the crazy, scattered, partially grey lady I am. San Clemente was so awesome. I cant not tell you how great it was to spend time with my family for 10 day. No schedules no deadlines and no hussle and bussle. Just time! Loved it. Our kids are such great people and so much fun. Lotts of extened family and great memory's made on the beach. Max changed gears a little this year and made the Murray Max Compitition Soccer team. So he has been training all summer and let me tell ya, Murray ainte fooling around with Soccer. We are now a Soccer Family. So thats it...(i think)

poor mason had his 10th birthday a few days after Dave passed away. We celebrated with a small get together and can't believe my baby is double digits. We have some traditions in our family that we held up even though it was a very hard time. We made a special breakfast and decorated his place at the table, made a baseball cake and had our family over. Mason makes me and Brett smile every day. He is such a fun kid. He is mischievous, kind hearted, athletic, affectionate, and smart, we all love mason...

I had the absolute best time! For all those who doubted me, I did it. Went 3 days without Diet coke, slept outside, no shower, walked 27 miles while pushing a hand cart, and Loved it. Seriously one of the best experiences of my life. I fell more in love with my husband (if that is possible), what a guy! I am so impressed by him, it is not even funny. He is so willing to help me every day pull our hand cart and do more than his share! I am also so grateful for all my blessings, cars and air conditioning and good shoes and beds and and and! Sage was such a trooper and the kids in our family inspired me! I learned being mentally strong is more important than being physically strong. Finishing something is great for your self worth, and believing in something is everything!!! The best part was I surprised Brett, and myself!

Sage actually thought I had blown off the one and only daughter I have, ha,ha,ha... She even offered to make brownies for the party. lol

Sage and I had a little weekend away from the boys. The trip to Ogden was a nice little break from the day to day cleaning, carpooling, and baseball that I call life. Sage had a convention and competition in Ogden. So we left Friday and drove through a snow storm for a great dance weekend. The convention was amazing and the talented dancers and teacher we are exposed to in Utah is unreal. Their team did very well in the Competition and got to perform in the closing ceremonies. The past week was a stressful one, Sage had to make the hard choice to either try out for Drill or Cheer, and ended up going with drill (not a popular choice at Murray High). Lots of tears shed over the thought of doing something without her friends. She made the Drill Team and is excited about her choice. She loves to dance and it shows, she worked her butt off all week at Drill tryouts and then Danced for over 15 hours Friday and Saturday. I am so proud of Sage and the little lady she is, she handles hard situation with a maturity that is far beyond her years. Wish I was more like her, hmmmm

Competition season is here... So for the past ummm lets just say FOREVER! We have been a dance family. Even before my little dancer was thought of we were a dance family. I would say since I was about 15 years old Every spring I have been spending most of my time at a dance competition somewhere. So take a deep breath and enjoy. Last weekend UDA preformed at Star Power competition, and they were amazing. I love the mother daughter bonding time that Sage and I get out of it. Sage always brings such an sweet elegance to the stage. She is definitely not the star of the show, but always has a grace that I love to watch. Sad for me to think this might be her last year on a competition team. Ugh, High School.... Blah

I would love to freeze her at this age and avoid the boy problems, heart breaks, and all that goes along with my sweet daughter growing up! Another little proud moment we had last weekend was, Sage was asked to speak in stake Conference. She did Awesome! I was so scared for her, but this girl amazes me!!! She spoke to more than 700 people at the General session of Stake Conference on, Preparation brings Blessing. She made us so proud. That day she was walking around on cloud nine! She had so many people that boosted her self esteem... Some good friend even baked her a cake that said Queen of conference. Super great weekend for the Holman Family.

Today I have been thinking about good friends, friends I have had for years and years. My family and neighbors, and thinking how life sure gets in the way of these relationships sometimes. People are busy, busy with their own lives and their own families and schedules and kids. How do we ever keep up on old friendships, maintain relationships with family members and make new friends?

One of my very best friends in the world, I have completely lost touch with. We worked together for 7 years had 3 babies together, gave each other baby showers and knew every detail of each others day. How did this happen? We vowed when we stopped working together that no matter what we would never lose touch. I would go a couple months calling then texting no answer, then getting pissed. Eventually finding out she had been going through Hell. How could I not have known? We just lost touch. She and I have since talked and really now I know it was just to painful to tell someone she talked to every 6 months or so she was getting divorced. Ugh, and still I feel bad for her and I feel bad for me that we could not go through that supporting each other.

So many of my old friendships seem to be falling away due to life and the business of it. I had a friend tell me the other day " No one is busier than me". I actually think that is the problem. We all feel like no one understands our life, our demands our struggles. I will tell a friend or family member, I have such a busy day, needing some concern or even just interest maybe a little validation and most of the time I get something like "try being me". I have for some reason had a hard time swallowing this lately.

My new found Yogic ways have lead me to ask the question, am I that disinterested in everyone else's life? Do I immediately turn the conversation back to "me". When I am at a family dinner do I listen or just talk. When someone announces something really cool am I genuinely happy for them?

Being a wife and Mom is very time consuming and of coarse this is were all our precious time should be spent. However finding a way to maintain good friendships with old friend who are very important too in something I am working on...

I wish I was better at getting together with friends, sisters, family, that I don't see every day. I know I can do better at reaching out to all the important people I feel so disconnected from. Yoga is about balance and I feel so out of balance right now. My goal is to reconnect with all the people I feel like our relationships are slipping away. I talked to my sweet husband about how I have been feeling and he had some great advice for me. Don't beat yourself up, reach out to those you feel disconnected from and don't waist time on those who "no one is busier than me friends"... I have a feeling we all fall into this category at times, but I am finding it so unappealing. The Enough about you lets talk about me's... I need spring!!! Tennis, Outdoors, warmth....

Today is the 4th of February, Thank goodness. So I must say not a fan of the cold, but since I am cold all the time anyway January just seems unbearable. Other than that had an incredible month. I have been doing my Yoga Teacher Training, and loving it. I thought I had forgotten how to learn, but it turns out my 42 year old brain still works. I love it! I love all of it! Just so interesting. I wish I could explain, but this is truly something you have to find out for your self. I, like most people was so disillusioned to think Yoga was just a good work out. I was so wrong, Yes it is a good work out, but so much more than that. It is a Path, a way of life, a peace and light that is so powerful. I am loving it! I feel like a kid in a candy shop, I just cant get enough. Chalkras, Anatomy & Physiology, Lesson Guides, Technique & postures, Methodology, Philosophy, History, ethics, Lifestyle... ahhh So when I say there is much more to it than I thought, A Yes. So I guess I beat this January Blah this year with January Bliss. Best part, I got a job. Its official I will be teaching at Local Yoga.

Today my post is not about a Vacation or outing or child's accomplishment. Today I wanted to reflect on the amount of sadness, suffering, pain, trials, I have all around me. I have been so worried about close friends, family, neighbors, co-workers, etc. The reason it is even on my mind is how my heart is so heavy with sadness and none of it is my own. Our neighbor fell while climbing in Moad last weekend and has a huge recovery ahead of him. His pain and his families path ahead is so over welmingly hard i cant even wrap my mind around it. My good friends husband has been out of work for over a year, and the trials that that brings is so hard. Our friend lost his Mother to cancer and is suffering with his grief. My dear friend who is worried about her marriage My co-worker found out she has an illness and is worried about all that it will bring. Another friend who is struggling with step kids ex-wifes and the stress of blending a family. Another friends Dad died last friday, family with health problems, parents with stress and struggles. Ugh, the trials we go through. It is hard to see all the people we love struggle and suffer. It is just weighing heavy on my heart today. I am so grateful for the friendships and support system I have all around me and wish I could help with the suffering of good friends and family, sometimes dinner is just not enough. I think remembering all of these people I worry about in my Prayers will have to do and leave it in the hands of the Lord. I wish I had a magic wand. I love you all and do worry.

Spent the week between Christmas and New Years with our friends at the cabin. Cant say enough, we needed the down time. Christmas this year was so busy. Good busy, but not stop from thanksgiving to Christmas. Felt good to leave the rat race. I highly recommend time with your family, no phones, no computers, lots of snow, and tons of old movies. We played some really fun games, like Wii dance and good old fashioned Yahtzee. Cards, big breakfasts, sleeping in, talking, reading a magazine. ahhhh, the snow was great too, the kids can play on the hill to the cabin for days on end. the snowmobiling led to all kinds of fun adventures. We hauled kids up giante hill and the snowboarded and sledded down. Hot chocolate and soup was the staple for the week. All in All simply perfect week, except mason got croup and had to go to the insta care in Park City. and the Drive home was UGLY.

Could not choose, so I sent both. Our super talented and darling friend Brooke took our pictures at Wheeler Farm. And then her Super Talented Sister put this together... Yes Ti's the SEASON, to be Jolly. Ahhh!!! Well maybe busy, stressed,crazy, short tempered, Over scheduled, and Spent. Oh that sounds pretty depressing. I am just be overly dramatic as usual. I am very blessed and so lucky to have this busy crazy life and although this is my season for chaos, I revel in all of it. We have had an incredibly busy December. The best part was the time spent with our family. I wish somehow we could take a deep breath and slow down. Time is speeding up and our kids are getting bigger every day. Brett as usual spoiled me rotten with sweet and thoughtful gifts and the kids all took special care in buying nice gifts for us too. 2010 Was a great year with new and exciting things for all the Holman's... We had such a great Halloween this Year. It fell on Sunday, so we celebrated on Saturday. The Boys choose their costumes and they were different than anything we had done before. Max was a Utah Utes fan, and Mason was a Mobster. Sage and hannah were funny, they decied to go as Justin Beiber and Taylor Lautners girlfriends. Brett is such a good Daddy. He headed out in the rain and they went for hours. While I manned the door. I must say, I would rather have my job than his. Don't tell him though. Brett's family and my parents came for some yummy clam chowder. As always I love Halloween.

We have been very busy around here for the last few months. So this is my attempt to catch up on some blogging. We had a flood in our basement and decided that the 1990's had to go (Finally)!!! So needless to say, we took on a huge project. We painted, and tore out old carpet, re carpeted and are replacing old brassy door handles with dark bronze or oil rubbed bronze not sure exactly what it is called. Brett worked his butt off, and the end result is AWESOME. When we bought this house from a former Bishop. It was a not my style, Brett assured me that over the years we could make it our own. Baby Blue and Mauve, YIKES! We Finally live in OUR house. No more wall paper. The last two rooms with WALL Paper are gone. The Pheasant, forest green and burgundy trim, yea we will not miss.

Labor Day weekend

The end of summer is always sad. But is alway fun to have one last Weekend away. Our friends the Smith's invited us up to their cabin in the most spectacular place on earth. The big excitement for our kids was the new dirt bike Brett bought them. Brett has searched high and low for just the right dirt bike for our kids and decided on a HONDA xrf 100 and I am not sure who was more excited the kids or the dad. The weekend was just beautiful, the most amazing weather you can ask for in Utah. We ate like kings, dutch oven potatoes, tri tip, corn on the cobb, peach cobbler!!! The kids were on 4 wheelers non-stop and took every opportunity to get as dirty as possible. We played so many fun games with the kids and laughed our heads off, phase 10, toss up, solitaire, and ate candy till we were all sick. Sleeping was my favorite part of the weekend, listening to the creek, cool air, DARK, DARK, DARK.... a million stars in the sky. Mason even slept in a tent the whole night and Sage and Justine slept on the deck. Even more exciting than all that was the MAMA MOOSE and her TWINS. Up close and personal. Great weekend with great friends!

Sage is in her last year of Jr. High and Max is in 5th Grade, Mason is in 4th. A little bitter sweet for me, I am welcoming getting back to earily bed times and cooler weather, a little more of a routine. The bitter part for me, is that summer goes so fast it doesnt seem like we can fit in all the weekends away, pool days, tennis with friends, lazy afternoons, lemonade stands, camping, hiking, 4 wheeling, beach trips, lake trips, cabin trips, before they all grow up... Hope that time slows down a little...

Our family did the 5k Dash for Donations... Brett is a Kidney Transplant Coordinator for the University Of Utah Hospital. Th U has a team every year and this was the first year that our family was in town, well most of our family ( Sage was in Flaming Gorge). The boys thought it was so much fun to wear matching T-shirts. The Transplant Team also through a great Barbecue. Dutch oven rids, peach cobbler, beans, yummmm. The best part of the day was the inspiring stories of all the peoples lives that have been touched either by being a donor having a transplant, or family members who's lives have been changed by Organ Donation!!!

Grandpa Putman 1930-2010

On the 27th of July Grandpa Putnam passed away. We were lucky enough to spend the day with him before he died. We love him and were so happy to have so many good memories of him. He and grandma were the sweetest couple. Over 73 years of Marriage and lived independently till the end. I am sure that Myrna was waiting to have her dad with her in heaven and are so happy to be reunited. Death reminds us that Families are forever and we will be together again.. Brett said the family prayer and did such a good job. We will all miss him and will remember the example he set for our family of hard work and kindness. He was a gentle giant....

believe it or not, Brett and I have never taken our kids to Lagoon. So last Tuesday Brett had the week off so we took our kids and our son Cody. Super fun for all... Max and Sage are FEARLESS, Mason and Mommy not so much... Brett also will go on any ride without fear, thank goodness for our kids... they also had some great cousin time. Cody lives in St. George with his Dad, so it is not that often that they have cousin time... they ran from ride to ride to ride, the day was simply fabulous and I am always amazed at what fun kids we have. Mason was fine with waiting on the bench while they all went on WICKED and some of the crazy rides, I found some courage and went on Rocket... I thought my heart stopped. Great time with our cute kids...

I can not believe it it is finally SUMMER, and we are enjoying every minuet of it. We celebrated the 4th of July with the Smith's at the Cabin. The joy of watching our kids play is too much for me to describe. I don't think they came inside all weekend, and when they did it was not for long. Sage and Max learned how to ride a dirt bike and the twins and Mason did not get off the 90 all weekend long. The men got up at the crack of dawn and went fishing at Trial Lake, and caught their limit. (a gift to the girls, amazing how quite it is without max and mason) The Moms had fun talking, eating and watching movies. Cards, Smores, Games, 4 wheelers, Naps, homemade ice cream, dirty faces, cool nights are just a few of the reasons I love the cabin. More importantly, the time with our kids and friends is priceless. I wish I could freeze our kids and keep them at this age they are so fun, so interesting, so mobile, so innocent, want to be around us. Great weekend. Headed to Bear lake next weekend, simply awesome....

19 Years, and it seem like yesterday...

Brett and I just celebrated our 19th wedding Anniversary!!! June 15th 1991... what a day... Brett and I were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on a beautiful summer day 19 years ago. (after a long courtship)... Brett and I started dating in 11th grade and you know how teenagers are, well we were worse. We were inseparable and insecure and jealous, (oh wait was that just me?) Luckily Brett was smart enough to go on a mission, and we grew up!!! Finally after he had been home from his mission for a year!!! I twisted his arm and he married me.. Lucky for both of us he realized we were meant to be.

I surprised Brett with a kid free getaway. Brett and I left town on Sunday and headed to Fish Lake. I have never been and Brett went as a kid, so a new spot for both of us. Wow, what a gorgeous place, the Lake the Mountains, and the Pine Trees mixed in with the Aspens was Spectacular!!! More than anything so great to be alone and spend real TIME together. No cell service and Long walks around the Lake. Sleeping in, quiet, peace, calm, relaxation, oh what can i say.... Oh and we fished and 4 wheeler rides and relaxed!!!

Sometimes it is so good to focus on the WIFE part, not just the MOM, neighbor, friend, cleaning lady, cook, etc.

So what a great past 19 years we have had together and here to many many more. I really am the luckiest girl around with the most handsome, kind, fun, easygoing, smokin Hot guy...

Mason is nine, I can hardly stand it my baby is nine. We celebrated with a Bee's Game and a trip to the cabin. Mason has been having some weird health issues, and test to find out what is going on. It all started out with a red right eye. The Pediatrician sent us to an eye doctor and he diagnosed him with uvities, inflammation of the eye. Not a good thing, the doctor was worried about what was going on in his body. Could be JRA (juvenile rheumatoid arthritis) or worse anglyosing spondilities. The tests came back neg. for the JRA, but pos. for the anglyosing spondilities. So now more test... the eye thing is almost better... What a little trooper, he is such a great kid and he makes Brett and I smile everyday. He is a happy, sweet, loving, affectionate, mischievous little boy and We love him and Love all the Fun he brings to our family...

we have been seriously been Baseball crazy around here!!! Now I ask, is there anything cuter than little boys in Baseball uniforms? Although with 2 boys everything is twice as nice it is also twice as busy... So 2 games 1 practice a week turns into 4 games 2 practices... and then, Max made the Super League witch added 2 more games... Sigh... To be perfectly honest it has been pure JOY, the schedule is crazy and at times we are watching 2 games at a time, the pay off has been HUGE!!!! Max is a different kid this year. His confidence has grown more than I can explain, he has improved so much, and his love for the game is a great thing. He has had some personal best's... Mason, played PEE WEE this year and is the big shot on his team. He has pitched most of the year had a few triples, caught a few fly balls and LOVES to steal... Being the Mother of thees two boys is one of my greatest joys!!!!

Spring...

well this post is overdue, but when spring doesn't show its face around here it is so hard to remember all the things I love about spring... so this year instead of the top ten things I love about Spring, I will just be happy with the couple of days of warm weather we have had since March. Sage took me to get a pedicure for Mothers Day. It gives me hope that I will soon not want to wear socks. Max and Mason have been playing baseball. Max is on the White Socks and Mason Is on the River Cats. I love going to the games and if the weather would warm up and stop raining. I would enjoy it even more. We have 2 games for Max 2 games for Mason 2 practices and Max made a Super league team with 2 games a week... So the rain is a blessing some days... (although at some point we will have to make up all thees rain outs) I'm so ready for the warm weather, and no homework no early to bed early to rise. Flip Flops, capris, playing tennis, long walks, playing outside... Come on spring you can do it... Here are some pic's of the one day it was beautiful this spring....

Sage is the new V.P of River View Jr. High... To add to the busyness of the past few weeks. Sage ran for Student Body officer. The way they do it is a little different but it all worked out. She actually ran for President, but they have everyone run for president and the top vote getter gets president and the second gets Vice, and so on... So she was very happy with Vice... The funny thing is that way back when her daddy was V.P of our Jr High... So it was meant to be... Sage also told me during the week of the election that she hoped Matt Cower made Pres., I was like, What? Isn't that what you are running for? and she said: yes, but he would be really good! That is my SAGE.. She is about as competitive as a rock... Oh and the best part she is thrilled with V.P....

Not so fun....

two sick boys, one tired MOM... Max and mason had tonsils and adenoids out, on Friday. They are still not doing well. Max drinks his water really well. Mason wont eat, drink, talk or turn his head. Today is day six and I am going out of my mind. Max has the family room with non-stop sponge bob going 24/7. Mason has taken over our bedroom and watches iCarly and plays, PlayStation. I force Go-gerts and Popsicles, water and the occasional scrambled egg, down them. All i know is, this is not fun. Recovery is such a hard thing for both the patient and the caretaker. Brett is much better Nurse than i am. Brett is the caretaker in our family, although mason wants his Mama. And i do a great job of snuggling them and tickling backs and arms... Love those boys!!! Oh and Sage has been such a nice sister... She has made their beds everyday and set the table refilled Max's water jug and watched movies with her brothers... Thanks Sagey!!! Love that girl...

Yea!!! It is official, it is SPRING. So Brett took the boys for one last Snowboarding day. Max and Mason did great. Brett said they can just about go down anything anymore. They brought their friend Jake and Brett gave him a lesson and they all had such a good time. Max and Mason thought it was awesome!!!! Now looking forward to two tonsillectomy's...

We celebrated Presidents Day in Park City. The kids like the pool and we like the restaurants, and the shopping. Just a little getaway for all of us, the winter blues are too much to take. Going up above the inversion seems to get us all revived. I have noticed how much easier it is to relax in the condo rather than at home were you constantly are cooking, cleaning and hustling around. A break is nice and needed with our busy life...

Must say I am not a fan of either. It has been awfully cold in Utah for both January and February and I don't know what is wrong with me but I don't tolerate the cold any more. I am sure it must have something to do with my spinal fustian. Just a guess. The worst part of this winter has been our health. I had a hacking cough for about 3 weeks, and got some killer abs from the work out and finally my sweetheart got me in to see a Doctor to find out I had a Sinus infection. Got better then everyone else got it! Sage ended up with Pneumonia after a long bout with a cough. Poor girl. Then Brett got it and actually missed work. I know it is a miracle. I practically had to threaten him. Other than being sick we have had alott of fun with the boys and Basketball. This year they are both so much improved. Max is on the same team as his twin Cousins, Jake and Nathan. They have been undefeated and it is so much fun cheering for our team. Mason's team hasn't done as well. Lets put it this way, we haven't won a game yet. The good news is he doesn't seem to care. Valentines Day was great this year. I did the 14 day of valentines for Brett, starting on February 1st. Ladies let me tell ya, I scored some series points with this. You have to try this next year for your man. Day 1, was your my one and only and I gave him a Rose (in honor of the bachelor and asked him to accept this rose) Day 2, was my two hands to rub your 2 feet... Day 3 was thanks for our 3 beautiful children ( and the each wrote him a love letter) and so on .... it was as much fun for me as it was for him!!!! We spent day day 12, 13, and 14 in Park City at our time share with the kids... The kids were happy to come along on our romantic weekend. Brett and i loved the Hot tub and the kids loved the pool. Brett took me out to my favorite restaurant on main street, Ciseros!!!! No Kids!!! Love, that guy.

Some other things we have been busy with. Cub Scouts, Brett was recently called to serve as the new Cub Master. I am 1st counselor in the Primary Presidency and Cub Scouts is one of my responsibilities. So its been interesting to say the least. The Blue and Gold Banquette was last week and can I say how glad I am that that is over? Seriously! Kinda a dirty trick putting a new Cub Master in the month before the Banquette... I was so proud of Brett he did a great job, and I am so grateful to be married to someone who understand the importance of being involved in the things our kids are in. Love, that guy!

Oh, thank heavens for March, I am so grateful I made it through another dreary, ugly, slushy, polluted January and February. Have I mentioned I hate those months. I will end this post with my annual top 10 things i hate about winter ....

1. Its cold
2. Its hazy
3. Hate driving in it
4. everything looks dirty and dingy
5. kids getting dressed in snow clothes, and then undressing 5 min later
6. the price of a ski lift ticket, even for a child is RIDICULOUS

We had wonderful Christmas. Our kids are so big, it makes me sad, how time flies. we had the annual Christmas eve dinner at the Holman's and Dave did a great job shopping and preparing a yummy Prime rib meal. Christmas morning was great all the kids were so anxious I don't think Max slept a wink. We had the Hughes Christmas dinner at our house due to my Mom getting sick. It was massive caous... Crazy... I must be getting old. Brett as usual spoiled me. The best part of Christmas for me is always the traditions, matching P-J's, Omelets, Prime rib, hand made gifts from the kids. The time of between Christmas and New Year was perfect. We had time off of work and Brett took the kids snow boarding, we went snow shoeing, movies, sledding, Ice skating and lots of games. Our kids are at such fun ages. We had a great time this Christmas

Last minuet trip to Jackson Hole with the Holman's, was so much fun. We Left at noon on Friday the 18th and spent some time in Woodruff on our way. Grandma Putnam had her 90th birthday day before so we brought gifts and Michelle got a cake. They loved seeing the kids and Grandma cried when we sang. Jackson was beautiful. It was the first signs of fall and it was amazing... Sage didn't get to come, she had to stay home for THRILLER rehearsals. We spent Sat. with Grant and Marilyn. Who are Bretts Aunt and Uncle that live in Jackson. They treated us to a Boat ride and a Chuck Wagon dinner. The best part for me was the shopping. Great time with our boys and The Holman's!!!

I'm not sure who is more excited the kids or me? This year it is not as hard to see them go back to school, mostly because they have been fighting for the past two weeks. They all got up bright and early today and looked so cute in their new shoes and new outfits. The ladies decided to celebrate with a breakfast at the Village Inn. Then treated ourselves to a wonderful Pedicure. The kids are all excited about their new teachers and the year ahead. I made hot chocolate chip cookies and we talked all about each one of there day. Now the big job, all the papers to be signed and returned tomorrow... PTA, ROOM MOM, this consent form that disclosure and on and on... times that by 3. See Brett being a stay at home MOM is not all tennis, lunches, pedicures and so on, this is not as easy as it looks. Or as Brett would say " its good to be Tina"

Brett and Matt just returned from the long awaited and anticipated trip to Alaska. In Bretts own word "the time of my life"... The fishing was amazing. They got to go on 4 ifferent charters and each one was a once in a lifetime opportunity. The first day they drove 1.5 hours to Homer were they deep sea fished for Halibut, then they did a few river fishing trips on the Kenai River, were both Brett and Matt hooked a huge King Salmon and many Silver Salmon. They also fished out of Seward, and caught some HUGE Halibut. They also spent a day sight seeing and saw some pretty impressive wildlife and beautiful Glaciers. Brett loved the trip and said over and over how spectacular ALASKA was. Next time I want to go, we missed Brett and I think he missed us too...

Brett and I took the kids to Woodruff for a little over nighter. We went to visit Grandma and Grandpa Putnam. They were so happy to see us and got such a kick out of the kids. We made them lunch and brought Rice Crispy Treats. They loved visiting and Grandpa brought out his Purple Heart. The boys were so impressed. Max asked so many questions, I think we wore them out. Sage tried to teach Grandma how to text. They have been married almost 73 year and still live independently. I cant even imagine. Brett and I have only been married 18. We sure love them and are so proud to be part of their legacy.

Island Park with The Nielsons

Spent a week with our good friends The Nielsons at their cabin. The week was full of every outdoor activity you can imagine. We ran two rivers, rode ATVs, biked, boated, wake boarded, fished, horse back ridding, hot tub and so much more. The weather was amazing, 70-75 in the day 40-45 at night. We loved to sit out on the deck at night in the hot tub and look up at a million stars. The kids Loved Yellowstone and we saw a bear. West Yellowstone was amazing shopping and excellent pizza. Thanks for the great memories, we love you guys...

4th of July weekend

We spent the weekend at the cabin with the Smiths. Thursday we took the kids to the Oakley Rodeo. The Rodeo was so cute, the kids loved it. We went on a long 4 wheeler ride on Friday and it was a little rainy but cleared up quick. Sage loved the puddles it left. We hiked to a great fishing spot and got eaten alive by the mosquitoes. Saturday the boys went for a ride while we watched all the chick flicks. I think the kids like to ride the 4 wheeler by the cabin the most. Even Mason was driving the little sportsman. It was so relaxing to watch movies sleep in, have big breakfasts, play games, talking, no cell phones, no Internet, no cable, just time spent talking and enjoying each other ....

Beach vacation 2009

San Clemente was amazing and always is. Brett's family has a long tradition of spending a week at the beach. And its one I am happy to carry on. This year we had over 50 Holman's and all the sun, sand and cousins any kid could hope for. Robert has been holding Family Home Evening for the past few years on Mon. and this years was amazing. Eating on the Pier on Fathers day was a highlight for me, deep sea fishing and the Dodgers game was Brett's favorite, Sage loved playing with Reagan, Madison, Landon and Camden... Max and Mason loved playing with all the cousins, the Dodgers Game, walks on the pier at night, playing baseball on the beach, and digging in the sand. Spending a whole week with our kids was so awesome. They are becoming interesting little people and have so much to say. Brett and I were amazed at how independent they are all becoming and how much easier it is to travel with them. No strollers or car seats or port-a-cribs. Sage is quite a boogie boarder and swims like a fish, she reads for hours on end and helps with every ones kids without being asked. Max loved the water too but was more into digging and playing catch and baseball... Mason played in the waves, but hated the way the sand got in his shorts, he spent most of the time digging and playing with Camden and Landon. I cant tell you how much fun it was having nothing to do and no were to go. Michelle and G-pa took Sage on a dolphin watching boat, and all they saw were whales. All in all it was great just to be with our family.

18 th wedding anniversary

Today is our 18th Wedding Anniversary....Besides the fact that Brett has a temperature of 103 and has been sick for the past three days it is still a great day. I cant believe it has been 18 years!!!! Brett is an amazing husband and is always making more deposits than withdrawals in our marriage...My favorite part about being married is that I am married to my best friend, who loves me for who I am, loves that I am feisty, loves me good and bad... I love that Brett makes me want to be a better person and that I am better because of him. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!

Masons Big week

Our baby had his 8Th birthday this week and was Baptized on Saturday. Mason is such a great part of our family, he makes me smile everyday and has too many good Qualities to list them all... Here's just a few, He is smart, very smart but doesn't have to be perfect like Sage and Max... Grades don't motivate him. He has a heart of gold and is so kind to others, He loves to cuddle and is by far the most affectionate kid in the family, He is funny and silly, He has the best cowlick you've ever seen, he is confident and can stand up for himself.

This week we celebrated his Birthday with a big family party at our house and a friend party at BOONDOCKS, Brett baptized him on Saturday and it was so special. Mason lucked out and had his own Baptism. His Primary teacher (josh) spoke and Leslie played the violin and Nicalee spoke and Sage and Max said the prayers. This weekend was so much fun. Sage had a dance convention and competition in Layton. So we had a little get away... The dances were amazing and the teachers were so positive and inspiring. Dance competition season

Sage and I have been spending lots of mother daughter time together lately, in fact for the past four weekends we have had loads of bonding time. I am so lucky to be Sages Mom, I am so proud of what a truly nice and talented daughter I have. Each competition has been a great experience and we have done well in each. I am always impressed with her level of dedication and how willing she is to sacrifice her time, sleep, body, and childhood, for dance. PRESIDENTS WEEKEND IN PARK CITY

Brett and I took the kids up to our condo in Park City for the weekend. It was nice just to get away. We spent most of the weekend in the POOL, I never stepped one foot in the pool, but loved the HOT TUB... It was snowy and beautiful, we went to our favorite places to eat and toured the Olympic ski jump museum, went to the movies and relaxed. Shopping at the Outlets is not that much fun with Max and Mason, at one point Max said he was going to throw up because of the smell (you know that new clothes smell), Brett and I have always used the Park City Condo as a romantic get away (to get away from babies) well now that our kids are getting bigger, I thought lets bring them... after listening to them fight about who gets the ball in the pool and almost throwing up at the outlets and begging to go swimming 14 times in one day, I think we will from now on, use it as a get away... There is one benefit, every time Brett and I went to sit in the hot tub there would be about 10 people in there, after only a few minuets our kids were so loud and obnoxious we would have the whole place to ourselves...

SNOWMOBILING WEEKEND

We went to the cabin the last weekend in January for some R and R. Brett and John Smith took the boys on a long snowmobiling ride and got caught in a white out and thought they might be sleeping up on the mountain. Luckily the weather cleared up and they got back safely. Margie and I watched movies and played cards with the girls, and dressed them in their snow clothes 100 times... the hill to the cabin is an awesome sledding hill, so that entertained them all day. The Hot Chocolate tastes so good when its freezing cold. We finished our weekend with dinner at DICKS.

Friday Brett took Sage and Max Snowboarding for the first time. They had a great day with their Dad. Brett said they both were naturals. He got some great pictures of the day... they were exhausted when they got home (they both used muscles they had no idea they had). G-PA DAVE DID A GREAT JOB WITH KEEPING UP ALL THE TRADITIONS AND AUNTIE MICHELLE HAD SOME FUN GAMES FOR THE KIDS. WE SPENT CHRISTMAS DAY WITH THE MY FAMILY AND AS ALLWAYS MY MOM OUTDID HERSELF. recovery

Recovery, during the month of December is like banging your head against a brick wall. I am 5 weeks post surgery on tues. And finally feel like there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I actually slept in my bed for the past 2 nights, which is huge progress. I cant drive for another week and a half so Brett is carpool dad still. That is a job I would gladly let him keep. I cant turn my neck yet, so driving a car is out. With the help of alot of great friends, family and neighbors we did pull Christmas off. Brett got sick on Christmas eve and I was a little nervous... because he has been running the show for months. It all worked out and Santa did his trick (thank goodness). Sooooo glad that the presents are bought and opened, the parties are over, the matching pj's are worn, the cards are sent and we can all relax and enjoy a new year. Heres to a "New Year" with great friends, amazing family, and good health.

TO SPEAK ENGLISH THEY WENT IN THROUGH THE FRONT OF MY NECK, TO MY SPINE PULLED OUT MY HERNIATED DISK SHAVED DOWN MY BONE SPURS AND PUT CERAMIC BONE AND MEATAL CAGE IN TO FUSE THE C6 AND C7 ... WOW THAT WAS HARD TO TYPE ON ALL THEESE MEDS. THE GOOD NEWS IS MY ARM PAIN IS ALMOST COMPLETELY GONE AND I HAVE NO PAIN AT ALL IN MY SHOULDER BLADE THAT WAS THE ORIGINAL PROBLEM. STILL HAVE NUMBNESS/WEAKNESS. THEY SAY IT COMES BACK SLOWLY. I AM UNCOMFORTABLE AND ITS HARD TO SWALLOW AND I FEEL LIKE A BOBBLE HEAD. BUT I AM SO LUCKY, BRETT IS NURSING ME BACK TO HEALTH. I CANT EVEN START WITH HOW GRATEFUL I AM FOR HOW AWESOME MY HUSBAND IS. HE HAS BEEN THE SCOFFER, MOM, DAD HOUSE KEEPER, MORAL SUPPORT, AND IN THE COMING WEEKS (he might have to pull x-mas off on his own)

My Acheing Back

This Tuesday I had an MRI after being in pain for over a month, spending countless dollars on Chiropractic and Massage, a visit to the E.R. and truly being in more pain than I have ever been in, in my life. The doctor at the University Orthopedic Center found that I have a bone spur and a herniated disk between my C6 and C7 disks. So I was given two options and the first is to have an injection into my spine or surgery... I choose door number first, Thursday I had the procedure, they called it an epidural, but it wasn't like any of the epidurals I had when giving birth. They stuck a HUGE needle in the side of my neck and put some kind of steroid in my disk area to stop the pressure its putting on the nerves (and causing so much pain). I wont know if it worked for a few days, so cross your fingers.

Thank Heaven for all the support I have. I do not know how I could do it without the love and support Brett and I have been Given. Our neighbors are so awesome, not only have we been given dinners by many of them but they have watched our kids and played with our dog and driven sage to dance, grocerie shopped, vacuumed my house and delivered diet cokes. Mike Henry a doctor in our ward worked on my back many times trying to help me get some relief. My mom is a saint she has driven me to the U and watched the kids and driven sage to dance. The dinners from my friends have been so appreciated. Sunday Anne Marie Chicken casserole, Monday Nicalee Spaghetti Pie, Tuesday Traci Chicken Noodle Soup, Wednesday Sharlyn chicken pillows, Thursday Becca Pork Chops and Scalloped Potatoes. They all brought salads and bread and desserts. Even today Chrisy brought fresh baked banana bread. Margie has shopped and vacuumed and supplied me with diet coke,and her sweet husband and Brett gave me a blessing. My sissy brought cannelloni tonight. I am so blessed to have such great friends and so much support. Last but not least is my sweet amazing husband, Brett has been so great. He has taken such good care of me and been so sympathetic of my pain, he has done all the laundry, cleaning, car pool, dishes, ice packs, doctor apt. and the list goes on. I am so lucky to have such a great support system. Thank you so much for all the love and concern, hopefully the epidural procedure works...

Max is nine. I cant believe it. Max is such a great kid and such a joy to have in our family. This year he celebrated his B-day by going to his first UTAH JAZZ game. Brett and Mason and his friend Jake were the lucky ones who got to go with him. The JAZZ BEAR even signed his shirt. 400.00 seats, 25.00 in snacks, 30.00 in souvenires, 10.00 in parking, the look on Max's face priceless!!!!!! When he walked in the door from the game he gave me a big hug and said " this was the best B-day ever!!!" LOVE THAT KID....

The last few weeks have been beautiful. We had a cold spell at the beginning of the month. Now its absolutely gorgeous here. Fall is my favorite season. 40th B-day

Yes can you believe it... I am officially 40. We celebrated with a couples weekend at the cabin. Brett and I headed up on Thurs, my birthday and went to my favorite restaurant Cicero's, in Park City. Brett out did himself this year. He and the kids decorated the house and got very thoughtful gifts and took me to the cabin for a kid free weekend. The Smith's and the Nielson's came up early on Friday and we went on an amazing ride. The leaves were Awesome. The Mismash's, Braby's and The Watkin's came up that night and all the men went on a ride up behind the cabin (in the dark). They had a great time. We played games and watched movies till the crack of dawn. Margie made me a birthday cake and the gag gifts were hilarious. Saturday the storm moved in but that didn't stop us. I have some pictures of our soggy ride. It was freezing cold. All in All the weekend was perfect we watched movies rode 4 wheelers, sat by the fire, and played golf for hours on end. September is so beautiful in Park City. We had such a great time. The weather was amazing (71 degrees). We rode the Alpine slide, and Max rode solo for the first time. He loved it. We ate at Bajha Cantina an old favorite. And hit all the shops in town and at the outlets. I love Fall!!!

Today was our last day of tennis lesson. What a fun sport. I have never played before in my life and I am hooked. Margie talked me into it after her and Sharlyn had done the first session. It is so good to learn something new. We have taken the husbands to play doubles and that was a ball. Brett is nice and tries to encourage me especially since I suck at most sports. Especially if it includes a ball. But some of the guys think its freakin Wimbledon. Anyway we had a gret time with all the gals in the neighborhood. SUMMERS END

This summer has flown by. Our kids are growing up way to fast. School starts next week!!! Sage start Jr High on Friday. We thought we better go up to the cabin before life gets to crazy again with Dance, sports, homework, work etc. So Thursday we headed up to the cabin for some R&R with the Smith's. We seriously ate and ate and ate and the we ate some more. We took a long 4 wheeler ride on Friday. Brett had a little accident, no not on the dangerous ride on our trailor after all the machines were loaded. He slipped on the ramp and smacked his head on the hitch. We went to the insta care in Park City, were he received 9 staples. He took it like a man. We fished at Trial Lake on Saturday (and froze our butts off) So Margie and I took the little kids back to the cabin, while Brett and Jon took Landon and Trevor stream fishing. My Mom and Dad took the flat screen home so no movie marathons this trip... Side note: We took Charlie with us this time and he was a nightmare. We must appologise to the Smith's. Charlie was a little out of sorts and whined and barked and went out and came in all night. What a butt head.

Weekend in Woodruff

Brett and I finally got our butts up to see his Grandparents. It was way overdue. They love our kids so much and get such a kick out of the boys and think Sage is perfect. They just celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversry and completely take care of themselves. Wonder what Brett and I will look like after 72 years of marriage. We visited Bretts Moms grave, my kids really miss their Grandma Holman. Brett took the boys fishing, Grandma Putnum made a roast and as usual it was delious. Grandma and Granpa asked Brett to explain their medications to them (they miss Myrna too) So nice to spend time with them!!!!
