BACK TO SCHOOL

Summer is over, the kids went back to school this week. Its is definitely bitter sweet. We bought a swimming pass to Murray pool and went swimming almost everyday. Their hair got trashed. Max's hair looked just like a Brillo pad. Our kids are at such fun ages, we had a blast this summer. Here are some Pic's of the first day of school. Our babies are growing up.

OUR FLOWERS

DON'T YOU LOVE MIRACLE GROW. PRETTY SOON THE FLOWERS WILL TAKE OVER THE HOUSE.

"Tennis Anyone"

Today was our last day of tennis lesson. What a fun sport. I have never played before in my life and I am hooked. Margie talked me into it after her and Sharlyn had done the first session. It is so good to learn something new. We have taken the husbands to play doubles and that was a ball. Brett is nice and tries to encourage me especially since I suck at most sports. Especially if it includes a ball. But some of the guys think its freakin Wimbledon. Anyway we had a gret time with all the gals in the neighborhood. Anne Marie, Lori, Sharlyn, and Margie here are some pics of our last day. Andrea you are an awesome teacher... See you next summer!!!!

SUMMERS END

This summer has flown by. Our kids are growing up way to fast. School starts next week!!! Sage start Jr High on Friday. We thought we better go up to the cabin before life gets to crazy again with Dance, sports, homework, work etc. So Thursday we headed up to the cabin for some R&R with the Smith's. We seriously ate and ate and ate and the we ate some more. We took a long 4 wheeler ride on Friday. Brett had a little accident, no not on the dangerous ride on our trailor after all the machines were loaded. He slipped on the ramp and smacked his head on the hitch. We went to the insta care in Park City, were he received 9 staples. He took it like a man. We fished at Trial Lake on Saturday (and froze our butts off) So Margie and I took the little kids back to the cabin, while Brett and Jon took Landon and Trevor stream fishing. My Mom and Dad took the flat screen home so no movie marathons this trip... Side note: We took Charlie with us this time and he was a nightmare. We must appologise to the Smith's. Charlie was a little out of sorts and whined and barked and went out and came in all night. What a butt head.

Weekend in Woodruff

Brett and I finally got our butts up to see his Grandparents. It was way overdue. They love our kids so much and get such a kick out of the boys and think Sage is perfect. They just celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversry and completely take care of themselves. Wonder what Brett and I will look like after 72 years of marriage. We visited Bretts Moms grave, my kids really miss their Grandma Holman. Brett took the boys fishing, Grandma Putnum made a roast and as usual it was delious. Grandma and Granpa asked Brett to explain their medications to them (they miss Myrna too) So nice to spend time with them!!!!

WEEKEND IN L.A.

Just got back from L.A yesterday and it is great to be home. My cousin Jenifer Hamm got married on Sat. My family (Hughes) went. Brett stayed home with the kids. Since we just went to California for spring break. I drove down with my sister Mindy who I met in St. George, and for those of you who have driven into L.A in the dark you know how scary that is. I would have to say it is on my list of things to never do again. Brett does all the driving when we go to the beach. We stayed in Hollywood, and that was pretty entertaining. The wedding was gorgeous and the Bride and Groom were very in love. It was so nice to be with my Mom And Dad. Mindy and Morgan and Cody and my other sister Dana and her husband Terry and their Youngest Brittany also came. Reminiscent of our childhood vacations we SHOPPED ALLOT! In fact I think we found the best Mall I have ever been to...( and I have been to allot of malls). It was called The Grove. The wedding itself was beautiful. Much different than Utah weddings. It was a weekend of festivities. The rehearsal dinner was at a quaint Mexican restaurant in L.A. for about 100 people. The Wedding was Sat. in a beautiful Catholic church and the reception was a sit down dinner that my Uncle Corky hosted for about 150 people. I am so happy for Jenifer and Jorg. My parents took us to the Magic Castle for dinner with all the Holland cousins. It was the coolest Magic show and Dinner. On the way to LAX we got lost and my parents missed their flight... We just laughed. Great time with the fam.

SMITH'S CABIN 24TH OF JULY WEEKEND

Thursday the 23rd of July we went to our friends Jon and Margie Smiths cabin, up above Ogden. The cabin is very secluded and you couldn't find a more spectacular location. It is so nice to play cards, shoot b-b guns, swim in the stream, talk, ride 4 wheelers and relax. You know like families used to. No T.V and no electricity, no cell phones and no computers. Sage and Justine kept right up on the little 4 wheelers, and rode the big sportsman's all around the cabin. Its good to get dirty and boy did everyone get dirty. And it is also great to get clean, we took a shower at the Smith Family Reunion (public pool in Ogden) and I swer a shower never fely so good. Mason fell down the loft stairs TWICE and survived both times. The second time I had my doubts. Margie had a close call on her 4 wheeler, she came around a corner and tipped and Abigayle fell off. She also survived!!! All close calls aside we had a great time, thanks again Smiths.
